Bee Team Interviews

Texas Wax members, Sharon Kyle Kuhn and Deanna Wood were recently interviewed by Shannon Newby, the leader of the Etsy “Bee Team“. Etsy.com is a website for selling handcrafted goods, including artwork. Members of the Bee Team create products with wax in them, such as handmade candles and soaps as well as one of a kind encaustic paintings.

More and more members of Texas Wax are starting to launch their own Etsy sites so expect collaboration between the two teams sometime in the near future. Until then, please enjoy the following two podcasts, which are a way to learn more about some of the great individuals within our group and the exciting events that are coming up!

New Website and Blog for Texas Wax!

Welcome!

We have been very busy bees here in the hive at Texas Wax!  Two of our Austin members, Haley Nagy and Marilyn Fenn, have created a brand new website and blog for all Texas Wax chapters.

Please have a look around. You can find information here about the Texas Wax organization, about our past, present and upcoming exhibits, classes and events, and more:

  • News and events, including an event calendar, and news archives
  • Blog posts from participating members
  • A list of our members per chapter
  • Artist information for participating member artists, including a gallery of their artwork, their artist info and their contact information
  • Contact information for all of the Texas Wax chapters

We also have a number of ways you can get involved or stay notified about Texas Wax.  Use the Subscribe buttons on the sidebar to receive new blog posts as they come in.  Sign up for the Texas Wax Newsletter mailing list on a chapter or statewide basis.  Texas Wax members may also sign up for the Beehive, a members only discussion list.
